The Oria Skin 25 for 25 Tips to start your year of 25 off to glowing start
1. Start With a Gentle Cleanse
Cleanse your face daily with Oria Skin's Gentle Cleanser to remove dirt and impurities, leaving your skin refreshed and hydrated - start a clean slate!
2. Double Cleansing for Deeper Clean
If you wear makeup, use Oria Skin's Luminous Cleansing Oil first, followed by the gentle cleanser for a deeper clean, ensuring all makeup and pollutants are removed. If you haven’t tried a double cleanse yet, you are missing out - it leaves your skin feeling amazing! Trust me on this one.
3. Exfoliate Weekly
Exfoliate once or twice a week using Brightening Enzyme polish. This helps to remove dead skin cells, all-round buffs the skin promoting a healthy glow, but more importantly creates a smooth, gorgeous texture and feel.
4. Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water throughout the day, always the hardest part to remember, but we need this! . Hydrated skin is healthy skin, and using Hydration Booster Serum is key and then lock in that moisture with an oil.
5. Use Sunscreen Daily
No matter the weather, always apply sunscreen. Check the sunscreen ingredients, I recommend a Zinc based one. SPF 50 and there are many good ones out there now, ask me if you need some options.
6. Don’t Skip Toner
After cleansing, apply a toner like Oria Skin's Rose Calming Toner to balance your skin's pH and prepare it to absorb serums and moisturisers better.
7. Invest in a Night Cream
Nighttime is the perfect time for your skin to regenerate. Use Overnight Firming Cream to repair and replenish your skin while you sleep- I recommend ‘slugging’ a thicker layer in areas of need of extra love ie: around the eyes and forehead/ wrinkles.
8. Keep Your Body Moisturised
Not just the face, every time you step out of the shower try using All Body Oil while you are still damp, this helps add moisture into the skin, while providing your skin with a barrier. Geranium scented (essential oil) makes this even more delicious for balancing hormones, stress and makes you feel beautiful!
9. Get Enough Sleep
Sleep is essential for skin recovery. We know this, but sleep really is the best way to allow your skin to regenerate and repair itself naturally.
10. Manage Stress
Stress can trigger breakouts and worsen skin conditions. Take time for self-care with our Stress Relief roller to help with those hectic moments in your day.
11. Always Remove Makeup Before Bed
Never go to bed without removing your makeup. Ever.
12. Incorporate Vitamin C
Add a vitamin C serum, such as our Vitamin C Serum, to your routine to brighten your complexion and reduce dark spots and hyperpigmentation. Our Vit C is packed with Provitamin B5 too so you get the best of fading spots and mega hydration in one go.
13. Avoid Hot Showers
Hot water can dry out your skin. Opt for lukewarm water to preserve your skin’s natural moisture barrier - or if you love a hot one, do your face cleanse routine separately.
14. Never Pick at Your Skin
Picking at acne or blemishes can lead to scarring. Treat spots with Blemish Repair Balm to help manage breakouts gently and effectively!.
15. Use a Face Mask Once a Week
Treat your skin to a weekly face mask like Pink Clay Mask which draws out impurities and tightens pores, while giving it a loving moisture boost.
16. Don't Forget Your Neck and Décolletage
Extend your skincare routine to your neck and décolletage. They’re just as prone to aging, so apply your serums and oils here too - use your gua sha to help encourage blood flow to chest creases.
17. Choose the Right Skincare for Your Skin Type
Oria Skin offers products tailored for all skin types. Identify your skin’s needs by taking our Oria Skin Quiz on the website if you are unsure.
18. Eat Skin-Friendly Foods/ supplements
Incorporate skin-boosting foods like antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids, and vitamins in vege and buts, but also try taking a Collagen powder and Fish oil supplements for bringing back bounce into the skin.
19. Avoid Touching Your Face
Hands carry bacteria, so avoid touching your face too often when youre out and about to prevent the transfer of oils and germs. But, I am all for a face massage so when your hands are clean, sculpt away - this brings me to:
20. Try Facial Massage
Facial massage can boost circulation and reduce tension. Use plenty of oil and gently massage in upward motions to promote relaxation and skin rejuvenation. Check my reels on gua sha and massage on Instagram for more instruction.
21. Stay Active
Exercise helps increase blood flow to the skin, bringing more oxygen and nutrients. Just don’t forget to cleanse afterward to remove sweat.
22. Consider Your Environment
Your environment plays a big part in your skins mood - dry aircon or harsh heating is not great, so make sure you're topping up more frequently with moisture to prevent it drying out.
23. Never use FRAGRANCE
Look for skincare products that use natural ingredients, scented with essential oils only. If it says Fragrance, Parfum AVOID. These are major endocrine disruptors, but also do damage to the skins barrier long term.
24. Be Patient
Skincare takes time. Be consistent with your routine, and give products time to show results. 3 months is normal.
25. Adjust Your Routine for the Seasons
Your skin’s needs change with the seasons. In colder weather, opt for richer products like Overnight Firming Cream, and switch to lighter formulas in the summer like Balancing Day Cream.
