Have you got acne in your 30's or 40's and feel like you can't seem to get the right fix, naturally?
Here is what I recommend along side taking some really good pro & prebiotics - we know that the gut has a lot to do with our skin - think of them as two partners in crime - the skin is the communicator, the gut is the gal running things. So always consider this as well as addressing what your putting on your skin.
1 . First - using a cleanser - I recommend Luminous Cleanse Oil because it has such great anti inflammatory and antibacterial properties - it is an oil which feels weird for acne, but trust me, it really helps as the skin isn't being stripped which only causes it to go 'oh right i need to make more oil to re-hydrate!' and that is what can cause more acne as it is over producing sebum. So - I love this product and the Sea Buckthorn in it is also excellent for any redness. If you are still not a fan of an oil cleanser - the Gentle Cleansing Milk is a nice option - it is a water based cleanser- it is soft and calming to the skin - useful for really irritated skin with German Chamomile which is soothing, you can use this one 2 times a day.
1.5 - there is also the Brightening Enzyme Polish - this has natural non harsh enzymes which get into the pores and clean without stripping - it has quite a gritty texture which really helps with rejuvenating the skin - I would only use this once or twice a week - it can help reset your skin for a good clean,
2. Toner - Rose calming toner is really nice for acne, it soothes irritation - A lot of my acne problem skin customers love this toner - but if you are looking for less steps this one could be skipped if push comes to shove. FYI - You get this in The Routine pack which makes the products all cheaper in this kit $28 off)
3. Using the Blemish Repair Balm - this goes on the spots - ESSENTIAL - this is so epic for me and others who have used it so far (new product) It helps my spots disappear overnight - it might be a longer thin for more long term acne so give it time - but the niacinamide and the zinc work so well together for healing up blemishes of any kind really. And it is so much kinder than those harsh ingredients like Salicylic acid...
4. Using a serum like Vitamin C Renewal Serum is good because it helps heal the skin barrier while also fading scarring - and helps encourage the collagen which you need for skin turnover.
5. Definitely the Balancing Day Cream - this also has that wonderful Niacinamide ingredient which is probably what most dermatologists recommend for acne too- it helps reduce inflammation in the skin, which is key in managing acne. Inflammation can cause redness, swelling, and pain around pimples, and niacinamide can calm this response, making the skin look less irritated. This also has the Oceandermx bioactive serum of Red Seaweed and Black fern in it- really great for age prevention and firming the skin as we need in our 30's.
Hope this helps clarify why each product and what order! Let me know if you have any more questions xxx
